Therapy for the way kids actually grow.
Multidisciplinary pediatric care for children ages 0–12 — bringing ABA, physical, occupational, and speech therapy under one warm roof.
Care that meets your child where they are.
At Riverbend, the work begins with listening. Every child arrives with a story — strengths, challenges, the things that delight them, the things that frustrate them — and our evaluation is shaped to find all of it before a single goal is written.
We're a multidisciplinary team built around one simple idea: kids do best when their care isn't fragmented. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists work in the same building, on the same plan, for the same child.
Most of the families we serve are navigating Autism Spectrum Disorder, but our doors are open to any child whose development needs an extra hand. Our goal isn't to "fix" anyone. It's to give every child the tools to thrive — at home, at school, on the playground, and in the room they're in right now.

If something feels off, we can help you figure out what's next.
Not every child who comes through our doors has a diagnosis — and that's by design. We start with an evaluation, not an assumption. Below are the conditions our team works with most often.

Things parents ask us first.
Don't see your question? Call us at (985) 590-4549 and we'll talk it through.
Do I need a referral from my pediatrician?+
No — Louisiana allows direct access to pediatric physical therapy, meaning you can schedule with us without a doctor's referral first. We'll coordinate with your child's physician throughout treatment, and your treatment plan is reviewed and approved by a licensed doctor.
What ages do you work with?+
We see children from birth through age 12. Early intervention matters, and we're equipped to support development from the first weeks of life onward.
Do you take insurance?+
We're in-network with many major plans. Because every plan is different, we recommend calling our office before your first visit so we can verify your coverage and answer questions about copays, deductibles, and authorizations.
What should we bring to the first appointment?+
Please arrive 15 minutes early with your child's photo ID, your insurance card, any relevant medical history (past treatments, medications, prior evaluations), and a list of questions or observations you'd like to share.
Does my child need a diagnosis to start therapy?+
No. We begin with a comprehensive evaluation. Many of the children we serve come to us before any formal diagnosis — and a diagnosis is never a prerequisite to getting your child the support they need.
How long is each session, and how often will my child come?+
It varies. We set frequency and duration after the initial evaluation, based on your child's needs and your family's schedule. We'll explain our reasoning and revisit it as goals progress.
Ready when you are. No pressure, no rush.
Whether you're certain your child needs support or just trying to figure out the next step, we'd love to hear from you. Most calls take less than ten minutes.
